1 Day Basic Counter Terrorism Financing Identification and Awareness (CTFX-1)
This investigator briefing provides an overview of the history of terror financing, its relationship to moneylaundering,
an overview of different types of terrorist groups, funding capacity, fundraising, operational
expenditures and the roles of individuals and cells. In addition, it includes detailed discussion of Zakat
and Hawala, case studies and analysis of multiple typologies.
3 Day Counter Terrorist Financing Specialist Certification Course (CTFX-3)
In addition to a
more detailed discussion of the information included in the 1 day Basic seminar, the three-day
investigator certification course includes detailed discussion of Zakat and Hawala schemes, case
studies, multiple typologies, a briefing of 3rd world banking methods, a discussion of internet
resources, detailed overview of major law enforcement and banking information resources, an
examination of recent prosecutorial failures and a certification exam.
OFAC Courses
OFAC Training (OFX-1-4)
Based on the size of the institution, GIA Consulting offers a series of biannual
and quarterly 1-2 hour training sessions as well as a train-the-trainer program for OFAC Officers
that have training responsibilities.
